Hi! My name is Kelsey Kalamar and I am a second grade teacher in the Bethlehem Area School District.  I am 27 years old, and a Bethlehem native. I was born and raised here and now am blessed to have an opportunity to teach in the same district. I started my teaching journey at Susquehanna University where I got my undergraduate in Elementary Education. I also received my specialization in English as a Second Language, from LCCC, and am currently going back to school at Moravian College for my Masters in Education.

In my free time I love to travel! My brother played professional baseball so I have been all over the country with him and now he is currently on tour for the World’s Long Drive in golf. I enjoy going to cheer him on as I am traveling most weekends across the United States to see him! I studied Abroad in Australia for six months and was blessed enough to spend a month and a half in Africa. Both of these experiences have changed my life. I love bringing my love for travel into my classroom and exposing all the different cultures to my students!

I am a die hard sports fan and LOVE ice hockey! When it’s hockey season I make sure I am home watching every game. GO FLYERS!!!!

As you can tell from the pictures above I love to dress up and participate in the fun days at school. I truly believe it is a big role in the life of a second grade teacher and seeing my students faces during each of these special days is priceless!
